Research phase

Once we have decided that we want to access European Funds, the research phase begins to find the most suitable funding for our project idea.

FIRST STEP:
ANALYSIS OF THE MOST RELEVANT PROGRAMS
(AND RELATED CALLS)

Consult Infodays

Many European Programs, when launching a call, organize an information day or “Infoday” where they present themselves:

The objectives of the Program

The specifics and characteristics of the call

Advice and suggestions to present the best possible candidacy

Infodays often offer networking activities among attendees, so that they can get to know each other and explore possibilities for cooperation and the creation of new projects.

Publications of calls

The European Programs publish the calls on their websites, but usually try to maximize their dissemination through social networks (especially Twitter).

Website

Social media

In general, each Program publishes its Annual Action Plan or “Annual Action Plan” at the beginning of the year, including the provisional dates of the calls planned for the following 12 months. It can be downloaded from their website.

SECOND STEP
ANALYSIS OF THE CALL

What to look for in a European call:

1

Priorities / themes and objectives to be achieved

Check that our proposal fits perfectly with the objectives and priorities established in the call. If our idea is too far from the terms described in the call, better to give up submitting a proposal.

2

Requirements
for participants
and the consortium

Verify that we will comply with all the eligibility requirements (minimum number of members, legal forms accepted, minimum number of European countries to be included, etc.).

3

Activities

Check that the type of financeable activities are relevant for us and for our project.

4

Budget

Ensuring that the estimated budget for each project fits our ambitions and the size of our project.

Based on our answers established in the preparation phase and the SWOT analysis, we select one or two project ideas to develop:
